How was CEO Min, a former visual director, able to create a paradigm in the K-pop scene? That aesthetic comes from his posture. From New Jeans’ debut album ‘New Jeans’, their first single ‘OMG’, and their 2nd mini album ‘Get Up’ to be released on the 21st, musicians from Beasts & Natives (BANA) were the main players. <\/p>\n

CEO Kim is famous for properly utilizing the pool of Northern European composers. Dimberg is one such example. Portuguese singer-songwriter Erika de Casier, currently based in Denmark, also falls into this category. De Cassiere, who was known only to a few maniacs in Korea, went crazy with her music maniacs by working on ‘Super Shy’ and another pre-released song, ‘New Jeans’. She also contributed to ‘ASAP’. She is a young musician born in the 1990s, who is excellent at melting various textures into electronic music, but presents an atmosphere that stimulates nostalgia in the 90s. It is a point of connection with Y2K, and furthermore, New Jeans, which aroused the emotions of the 1990s anew.<\/p>\n
New Jeans’ music is as smooth as if there were no conjunctions. The echo of such indifference is louder. This may be the reason why New Jeans’ music gives a fresh sophistication, but also a sense of nostalgia. It is an unexplored area that K-pop has not been to before. <\/p>\n

In addition, CEO Min also pointed out music in the style of ‘Shibuya-kei’, a J-pop that occurred in the early 1990s, and added that it was because funky genres such as French pop, bossa nova, and lounge were mixed. Some speculate that CEO Min was inspired by AOR while naming the company ADOORE. <\/p>\n
Of course, the final picture of the song could be drawn thanks to the digestive power of the five New Jeans members who were able to understand the producers and composers’ intentions well. However, it is Min’s ‘audio-visual veracity’ that gives this painting realism and guarantees progressiveness. <\/p>\n
At a recent New Jeans fan meeting, the list of songs by other singers reinterpreted by the five members received great attention. I could also feel President Min\u2019s self-confidence. Minji’s ‘Wiing Wiing’ (original song Hyukoh), Hani’s ‘Like Yesterday’ (original song J), Daniel’s ‘Paris In The Rain’ (original song Lauv), Haerin’s Many of the songs, such as ‘Time to Walk through Memory’ (original song Nell) and Hyein’s ‘Youth’ (original song Woohyo), are not from this generation. Even so, it felt like a song of these generations. That is Min’s ability as a producer with a sincerity to find a match between the textual context and the real situation. Singer-songwriter Woohyo and Black Skirt with unique sensibility are not at all inhomogeneous even if they participate in writing the lyrics for ‘Ditto’. <\/p>\n
After all, the core of New Jeans’ charm is music, and the consistency of the concept derived from it is the team’s weapon. New Jeans doesn’t follow trends or lead trends, but they know the basics of what ‘good music’ is. That gives the K-pop scene freshness.<\/p>\n
