Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = Trending girl group ‘aespa’ entered the top 10 for two consecutive albums on the US Billboard’s main album chart ‘Billboard 200’. It is the first among the 4th generation K-pop girl groups. <\/p>\n
According to Billboard on the 10th (local time), Espa’s 3rd mini album ‘My World’ ranked 9th on the ‘Billboard 200’ on the 15th. It recorded album sales equivalent to 40,000 copies, of which 39,000 CDs were sold. The number of streaming equivalent albums (SEA), which converts the number of streams into album sales, is 1,000 copies. <\/p>\n
Accordingly, aespa entered the top 10 for the second consecutive time following the previous mini-album ‘Girls’ (2022), which ranked third on the ‘Billboard 200’. The 1st mini album ‘Savage’ (2021) was ranked 20th on the chart. In fact, ‘My World’ was released online and offline in Korea on May 8th. In the US, only the sound source was released on May 5, and the CD was released on the 30th of last month. Espa is going to target the North American market in earnest. Starting with Los Angeles (LA) on August 13, they will open their world tour ‘SYNK: HYPER LINE’ in eight US cities, including Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, and Brooklyn.<\/p>\n
