According to the agency Adore on the 6th, New Jeans will release their 2nd mini album ‘Get Up’ pre-release single ‘Super Shy’ on the 7th at 1pm (Korean time). <\/p>\n
Previously, New Jeans swept domestic and international charts at once with their debut album ‘New Jeans’ in August of last year. Then, with the winter single “OMG” released in January of this year, they set a record of being number one for the longest period of time (14 weeks in a row) on Melon, the largest music site in Korea, and established themselves as a “digital powerhouse” both in name and reality. <\/p>\n
The pre-release single contains two songs. These are ‘Super Shy’, one of the triple title tracks of ‘Get Up’ to be released on the 21st, and the prologue song ‘New Jeans’. ‘Super Shy’ is a song based on a jersey club rhythm and exciting beat. “New Jeans” stands out with a unique composition that goes back and forth between UK garage rhythm and Jersey club rhythm and lyrics using the team name. <\/p>\n
Adore expected, \u201cAs both songs were introduced as music perfect for summer, it gives a foreboding of the birth of a mega-hit summer song that follows New Jeans\u2019 \u2018Attention\u2019 and \u2018Hype boy\u2019.\u201d <\/p>\n
New Jeans proved their heightened global status through collaboration with global brands in their 2nd mini album ‘Get Up’. First, the collaboration with Cartoon Network’s ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ draws attention. <\/p>\n
New Jeans collaborated with ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, to produce a music video for the pre-released song ‘New Jeans’. This music video will be released at midnight on the 7th. The ‘Powerpuff Girls’ version of the album is also on sale. In addition, New Jeans announced YouTube Shorts and the ‘#ImSuperShy’ global project. <\/p>\n
It is noteworthy whether the popularity of New Jeans, which does not distinguish between new songs and previous works, will continue. <\/p>\n
Four of the songs released by New Jeans on Melon, Genie, and Bugs, which are major music sites in Korea, are currently being released by ‘Hype boy’, ‘Attention’, ‘Ditto’, and ‘OMG’. Its popularity in the mainstream pop market is also expanding. On the ‘Global 200’ (as of July 8) recently announced by the US Billboard, ‘OMG’ ranked 113th and ‘Dito’ ranked 188th.
