Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = Latin music superstar Ozuna from Puerto Rico has joined Hive America.<\/p>\n
According to Hive on the 30th, Ozna has signed a partnership agreement with Scooter Braun Projects under Hive America. <\/p>\n
Ozuna is a symbol of Latin music. He has achieved Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for a number of albums. The number of audio and video streams of songs released so far is more than 50 billion (as of Sony Music Latin announcement in November 2022).<\/p>\n
In particular, Ozuna won two Latin Grammy Awards in 2020 for her collaboration song ‘Yo x Ti, T\u00fa x M\u00ed’ with Rosalia. She has also won numerous Billboard Music Awards, Billboard Latin Music Awards, and Latin American Music Awards. <\/p>\n
This contract by Ozuna is the first case in which Hive America has been newly accompanied by a major artist since the acquisition and merger (M&A) of Ithaca Holdings in 2021. Hive said, \u201cIt is a meaningful step to expand global influence in various music genres such as hip-hop, country, and Latin pop beyond K-pop.\u201d <\/p>\n
Bang Si-hyeok, chairman of Hive, mentioned the Latin genre at the Kwanhun Forum held in April, saying that he is looking for several partners in the global market to implement a more powerful multi-label strategy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very happy to be with Ozuna,\u201d said Jennifer McDaniels, Managing Director of the Scooter Braun Project. \u201cOzuna’s music is unmatched. I am happy to be able to support his artistry with great ability.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Hive America is the Scooter Braun Project, which is joined by big pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and The Kid LAROI, as well as country music singer Aaron. The Big Machine label group, to which Aaron Lewis, Avenue Beat, and Brantley Gilbert belong, and Migos, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty, etc. He is leading the hip-hop label QC Music to which he belongs.<\/p>\n
