The project duo ‘Night Off’ released a new digital single ‘But We Love’ at 12:00 PM on the 24th, after 6 months. It is the first single since the song ‘Hide into Night’, which spreads emotions like a watercolor in December of last year. <\/p>\n

It’s a pop with a dreamy band sound, but Ian Lee’s delicate vocals and Lee Neungryong’s careful guitar and bass sound comfort me. The two co-composed and arranged the song, and Ian Lee wrote the lyrics. <\/p>\n

The song was created for an exhibition of the same name at the Grape Museum of Jeju Island Art Museum, so it could only be heard here. It is an exhibition that empathizes with the pain and alienation experienced by many people who were forced to leave their homes, such as migrants and minorities, and become non-mainstream in an unfamiliar world, and that this is the story of all of us. It was originally scheduled to be held until the 3rd of next month, but thanks to the favorable response, the exhibition period was extended until September 3rd.

The music video for ‘But With Love’ was completed with Choi Soo-jin’s animation. In the face of unexpected disasters, the story of saving lives and moving on with loved ones, such as dogs, was completed in a lingering picture style. <\/p>\n

Night Off, composed of Ian Lee, who leads the experimental modern rock band ‘Mot’ and also works as a soloist, and Neungryong Lee, a former member of the modern rock band ‘Unnie Barber Shop’, who made a mark in the indie scene, have been telling more intimate stories. In this song, we sing about a wider topic. <\/p>\n

Lee Neung-ryong wrote on social media, “It was a bit of a big topic for Nightoff, who was talking privately, but I think we worked on it thinking that our delicate voices could create a wide and long reverberation. Please, I hope we can convey a little courage and comfort.”<\/p>\n
