On the 12th, Melon said through a notice on the platform, “We will reorganize the latest release chart to the ‘HOT 100’ chart to provide faster trends.” <\/p>\n
That is, through the latest release chart, Melon has been introducing popular songs released within 1 week and 4 weeks. This chart was calculated by reflecting 50% of 24-hour usage and 50% of 1-hour usage. This is the reason why there were many fixed songs at the top of the charts. <\/p>\n
However, “voices from the music industry and users say that the period is rather short to confirm trends, and it is difficult to immediately confirm popularity immediately after release”. The explanation is that the ‘Hot 100’ chart reflects this. <\/p>\n
The ‘Hot 100 Chart’ decided to aggregate the latest released songs within 30 days and 100 days based on the amount of usage per hour and provide information such as graphs.
