Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = Jihyo, a member of the K-pop signboard girl group ‘Twice’, who is pursuing a solo career after about 8 years of debut, has confirmed the album name and release date.
According to her agency JYP Entertainment on the 26th, Jihyo will release her first mini-album ‘ZONE’ on August 18th at 1:00 pm (0:00 Eastern time in the US). It is her second solo debut in her Twice after Nayeon.
The title song is ‘Killin’ Me Good’. On this day, a teaser image full of colorful scenes was released, including candles flying in a mosaic screen that covered part of Jihyo’s face, sparkling heart lights, broken glass, and raging waves.
Although this is Jihyo’s first official solo career, her potential as a solo artist has already been recognized. She received favorable reviews for her self-composed song ‘Nightmare’ during Twice’s new world tour ‘Ready to Be’ Seoul performance.
Meanwhile, Twice is meeting the fandom ‘Once’ all over the world with their 5th world tour ‘Ready to Be’ with 38 concerts in 22 cities around the world. Recently, they successfully completed a concert at Sopai Stadium in Los Angeles (LA), which attracted 50,000 spectators. They will hold solo concerts in Bangkok, Thailand on September 23 and Bulacan, the Philippines on September 30, which are also sold out. In particular, tickets for the Philippine Arena concert, which has about 40,000 seats, were sold out as soon as they opened, and a performance on October 1 was added. It also sold out quickly and met with a total of 80,000 fans in the Philippines.
