Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = The old albums re-released by popular group ‘Seventeen’ (SVT) ‘line up’ on the charts, creating an unusual scene.
According to Hanteo Chart, an album sales statistics site on the 27th, Seventeen’s out-of-print albums swept the top ranks from 3rd to 10th along with 1st on the Daily Physical Album Chart (as of June 26th).
The 2nd regular album ‘TEEN, AGE’, released in November 2017, went straight to No. 1 on the chart on the day of re-release. Starting with the 3rd place in the 4th mini album ‘Al1’, the 10th mini album ‘FML’, the 1st regular album repackage ‘Love&Letter’, the 3rd mini album ‘Going Seventeen’, the 1st regular album ‘First’ FIRST ‘LOVE&LETTER’, special album ‘DIRECTOR’S CUT’, 2nd mini album ‘BOYS BE’, and 1st mini album ’17 CARAT’ followed in order.
Among the albums that swept the top of the chart, all 8 albums except for ‘FML’ were re-released on the 26th.
Pledis Entertainment, the agency, said, “Seventeen has proven their powerful album power by posting an unprecedented achievement of placing all of their out-of-print albums re-released in their 9th year of debut at the top of the Hanteo Chart’s Daily Physical Album Chart.”
With the recently released ‘FML’, Seventeen became the only artist to sell over 3 million copies worldwide on the first day of release. ‘FML’ entered the Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ (as of May 13) at No. 2, Seventeen’s own highest ranking, and entered the chart for 7 consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, Seventeen will hold the world tour ‘FOLLOW’ at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on July 21-22.
