Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = Singer and producer PSY (PSY, Park Jae-sang) donated 100 million won for flood victims affected by torrential rain.
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 17th that Psy had generously donated this amount, saying, “I want to convey my deepest condolences to all those who have been affected by the current torrential rain.”
Psy said through the association, “I made the donation with the hope that it will be of some help so that I can return to my daily life as soon as possible.”
Psy has been steadily participating in sharing, such as donating 100 million won to the victims whenever large or small disasters occur, such as the Pohang earthquake in 2017 and the Gangwon forest fire in 2019.
Through this donation, Psy, who became a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a large individual donation club of Hope Bridge, added, “I will do my best in sharing activities for disaster-affected neighbors in the future.”
Earlier, actors Han Hyo-joo, comedian Park Na-rae, actors Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-ah, actor Lee Hye-young, and singer Lee Chan-won also made donations to the association to restore flood damage.
Meanwhile, according to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security (Critical Response), the provisional count of casualties as of 11:00 am on the same day is 82 people. 39 dead, 9 missing, 34 injured.
