The CJ Cultural Foundation announced on the 19th that Mr. Kim was selected for the CJ Presidential Scholarship, which is called the “Berkeley President Scholarship,” and discovered Berkeley President Scholarship students for five consecutive years since 2019.
The sector supports about 67,000 dollars (about 86 million won), including annual tuition and dormitory fees, for up to 4 years to one Korean student who meets the criteria for the ‘President’s Full Scholarship’ among all admitted students.

Based on Chairman Lee Jae-hyun’s philosophy of social contribution, the CJ Cultural Foundation is carrying out the CJ Music Scholarship Project, which supports international students at world-renowned graduate schools of practical music, such as the Berklee College of Music in the United States. Since the first scholarship was awarded in 2011, it has supported the academic and musical activities of 149 popular music talents over the past 12 years, including jazz composer and vocalist Lee Ji-hye and jazz bassist Kim Young-hoo.
