Last year, JYP published a sustainability report for the first time in the domestic entertainment industry. This year’s Sustainability Report contains the ESG management process and achievements implemented in three areas of environment, society, and governance from January 1 to December 31 of last year.
JYP, the first Korean entertainment company to implement RE100, replaced 100% of the electricity used last year with renewable energy. As a result, 688tCO2eq (carbon dioxide equivalent tons) of greenhouse gas was reduced. JYP, which is also conducting an environmental campaign (LOVE EARTH CHALLENGE) in commemoration of the International Coastal Cleanup Day every year, led 7447 participations in the campaign to protect the sea last year.
In the social area, the ratio of female team leaders last year was maintained at 52%. A ‘work-family balance system’ such as parental leave was implemented. In addition, to lead the JYP safety culture and to respond quickly in case of an emergency, the Safety Response Autonomous Organization (JYPKIMI) was established.
In addition, under the catchphrase of ‘EDM (Every Dream Matters!: All dreams in the world are precious)’, as part of the domestic and overseas EDM treatment cost support project and the EDM wish fulfillment project, a total of 412 children, 362 patients and 50 wish fulfillers, were supported in 2022. took care of
As for governance performance, the ratio of outside directors was set at 50%, and an independent audit office was established to strengthen human rights and ethical management.
